Rumors of their existence started circulating again about 25 years ago, but they were never seen. Until now. Bubba Squirrel recently told Popipity The Squirrel, a good friend to the Snooter-doots, of a particularly animal friendly and creative person that he had met, who could act as their new ambassador. Many, many years ago John Strong, the farmer, was their link to the human side, but they lost him and his alliance when other human types took his beautiful and productive farm to turn it into a factory. The Snooter-doots were heartbroken, and vowed to remain enigmatic forever, not to trust humankind ever again. After great debate, the Ol’ Bix, whom they respected greatly, convinced the Snooter-doots that humankind was finally thinking carefully about their environment, its creatures and their care. So they all agreed it was safe to reveal themselves again, and be known. . . . . . . . . And, so the story begins.
